Where have I been?
Staying fat and happy miserable. I’m done feeling sorry for myself. I’m back on the wagon.
We did our 8 week Big.gest Lo.ser competition at work. I didn’t win. Not by a long shot. Some people here are doing that 3-day per week cardio diet. I tried it, lost 3 lbs in 3 days and gained 6 lbs on the 4th day. We started a second season of the BL and I’ve gained weight in the past 3 weeks. WTF?
I’m back to W.eight W.atchers in full force. I got a new 3-month tracker and as of yesterday, I’m writing everything down.
Here’s the scoop, as of this morning, I’m at 175.7 lbs. My (realistic) goal is 155. I would love to be 150. I’m 5′7″ and I seriously doubt I will be my pre-law-school 137 ever again.
I want to lose this weight before two events
1. the beginning of our TTC journey
2. my 10 yr college reunion
Both of these are in October or so. The reunion will likely come first – so I can drink at it
and it’s 73 days from today.
10 weeks. I am on my very own 10 week challenge.
And we’re off….
Is anyone still reading this? I hope you haven’t totally given up on me yet!
BTW – Great find: Keebler 100 Calorie Fudge Shoppe Grasshopper cookies (2 points) and they taste like thin mint gir.l sc.out cookies!
Holly, it just occurred to me that you being pregnant means no beer. What in the world will keep you sane for 9 months? Do you have to give up the dunkin, too?
i just start WW myself….i’ve lost five lbs in two weeks so i’m feeling better. it really does help to write everything down, it’s amazing!
my biggest weakness is wine. but i’m not pregnant….in weight loss solidarity!
I buy those ccokie for a better snack for my kids than the original…I want them to learn to eat better. we do alot of fruit type snacks and protien snacks. I buy baked chips instead of fried and they dont seem to care…so that is nice. I am glad you found my blog too if you would like to be an author so you can write a blog clip? Let me know and we will add you to the site!
I am still reading
Good luck, you can do it
Holly! I’m glad to see a new weight loss challenge. I’m totally up for a new challenge. I set a goal (at the beginning of the summer) to be down a total of 55 lbs by Labor Day. So far I’m only at 43.something. So, I have a month to lose about 10 lbs. I’m still doing WW, but this is day 7 for me on the Core plan. I LOVE IT! I’m not sure how much you know about Core, but you should read about it. You can eat fruits, veggies, lean meats, grains, fat free dairy, and brown rice/whole wheat pasta/or potatoes once a day. You don’t weigh or measure or count points for those things. In addition, you have 35 pts per week for non-Core things. I thought I’d have a lot of trouble with overeating, but surprisingly I haven’t. The foods you’re allowed are so filling and satisfying that it really works. My weigh-in is tomorow, so I’ll let you know how I did my first week on Core. If I don’t do well, then please disregard everything I just wrote!
O.K., I had my weigh-in yesterday, and drumroll please….
I lost 5 lbs in a week! I haven’t lost that much in a week since the beginning on WW. I’ve been eating yummy food and haven’t been hungry at all.
I’m sold on Core now! You should try it, Holly.
